Educational Qualification:

Assistant Engineer
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Environmental Engineering
[and]
Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ M.Tech. Environmental Science and Technology/ M.Tech. Petroleum Refining and Petrochemicals/ M.E. Environmental Management

Environmental Scientist:
Master’s Degree in Science in any one of the following discipline
Chemistry/Biology/Zoology/Environmental Chemistry/Environmental Science/Environmental Toxicology/ Microbiology/ Marine Biology/ Bio-Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ Botany

Assistant:
Bachelor’s Degree [and] Computer Course for a period of minimum six months [Diploma/Certificate]

Typist:
Bachelor’s Degree [and] Typewriting Higher Grade in English and Tamil [and] Computer Course for a period of minimum six months [Diploma/Certificate]

Vacancy Details:

The total number of approximate vacancies is 242 vacancies.
Assistant Engineer – 78 posts
Environmental Scientist – 70 posts
Assistant – 38 posts
Typist – 56 posts

Pay Scale:

The level of pay scale for Assistant Engineer is 37,700 – 1,19,500/- (Level 20), Environmental Scientist is 37,700 – 1,19,500/- (Level 20), Assistant (Junior Assistant) is 19,500 – 62,000/- (Level 8) and Typist 19,500 -62,000/-(Level 8)

Application Fees:

For OC, BC, BCM, MBC/DNC candidates the application fee is Rs. 500
For SC, SC(A), ST, Differently Abled persons, Destitute Widows Candidates the application fees is Rs. 250

Maximum Age Limit for Other Candidates : 30 Years

2 years age concession for Destitute Widows.
10 years age concession for Differently Abled Persons.
For ex-servicemen:
maximum age limit is 53 Years for SC, SC(A), ST,MBC/DNC,BC, BCM.
maximum age limit is 48 years for others
