TNSET 2024 TAMILNADU STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSORS

TNSET 2024 Exam Starts on 1 April 2024. The Government of Tamil Nadu has nominated Manonmaniam Sundaranar University as “Nodal Agency” to conduct State Eligibility Test (SET) from the academic year 2023-2024 on behalf of the Goverment of Tamil Nadu.

Submission of Online Application: 01 April 2024 to 30 April 2024 (upto 05:00 pm)
Last date for Submission of Examination Fee: 02 May 2024 (upto 11:50 pm)
Correction in the Particulars in Online Application Form: 03 May 2024 & 04 May 2024 (upto 11:50 pm)
Announcement of Exam Centre: Second week of May 2024
Downloading Hall Ticket: Third week of May 2024
Date of Examination: 03 June 2024 to 25 June 2024 (Tentative)

Eligibility for TNSET

1. All the candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree.
   The Scheduled Caste(SC) / SC(A) /Scheduled Tribe (ST) /Persons with Disability (PwD)/Third gender category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off).
2. Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test.
3. The Ph.D degree holders whose Master’s Level examination has been completed by 19 September 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in TNSET.
4. Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Post-Graduation only. The candidates, whose Post Graduation subject is not covered in the list of TNSET subjects may appear in the UGC-NET/joint CSIR-UGC Test.

Age Limit:

There is no upper age limit in applying for TNSET.
